Bio

With his second album released on the SlowTrain Record Label Antonie Swain is an emerging artist on the Classical and Jazz scene. His Eclectic, Soulful sound blends together and forms a type of story telling that makes him an artist that is sure to keep you listening through an array dips, twist and harmonic flips.   He has performed at The International Trombone Associations Annual Festival( Performed with Nathen Zgonc of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Fred Wesley of the James Brown Band), The Jazz Educators National Conference( Featured Soloist Georgia State Jazz Orchestra/ Opened for Wycliffe Gordon), Toured Internationally and Nationally with Drumline Live, and has a Gold Album Credit on Rick Ross's album "Teflon Don". He is also an alumnus of the Disney All American College Band Program. (2004)
Antonie received his Bachelor's Degree from The Florida A&M University where he was Principal Trombonist in the University's First  Wind Ensemble, in Jazz Band 1 and 2 (1 1st trombone/featured soloist, 2 bass trombone,), and a Founding Member of the University's Brass Quintet.
Antonie's most recent project is his Second Album titled "A Road Less Travel", a Jazz Fusion project  that incorporates Afro/ Afro Latin  and Hip Hop rhythms fused together with Jazz and Spoken Word. It is currently available on all streaming platforms.
Antonie is also currently teaching in the Atlanta area and performing with the Love Station Wedding and Party Band as well as serving as Principal Trombonist in the Atlanta Praise Choir and Orchestra.

Musical Description

Antonie Swain is a Classical and Jazz Artist on the SlowTrain Records and Production Label. He performs a variety of standards and original compositions. He's play's tunes from the song books of The Jazz Messenges,Ellington, Basie, Miles Davis, Brubeck, Shorter, and many more. He has a Hip Soulful approach to a tune that makes the listener fill nostalgic while displaying a fresh approach in his form of storytelling. He stretches the boundaries of harmony and comes back with a soulful sleechness that is unique and a style all his own.
